15 Years of Humanistic Consulting: A Journey of Gratitude

With Gratitude, Anniversary
Fifteen years ago, I never planned on becoming an entrepreneur—yet here I am. When I started this journey, I didn’t know exactly what I was doing, and there certainly wasn’t a rulebook to follow. I’ve been so fortunate to have incredible mentors who guided me, patient clients who trusted me, and extraordinary partners who pointed me in the right direction and gave me the push I needed when times got tough.

There have been challenging days, no doubt, but every time I felt the weight of it, I reminded myself why I started this journey in the first place. I’m committed to providing coaching and support to leaders and organizations to help create great places to work. But beyond the business side, I wanted my work to have a lasting impact.

Through Humanistic Consulting, I’m proud to say that the profits support 13 charities worldwide. And as the founder of the “GJ Hecht Scholarship for Women to Make a Difference,” I’ve had the privilege of supporting educational opportunities for aspiring female leaders. This work, to me, is about more than business—it’s about building a legacy of service, one that uplifts others and makes a positive impact on the world.

Today, I’m excited to announce the launch of my new website! Please take a moment to explore, and as always, your feedback is greatly appreciated.

For the last 15 years, I’ve written the What the Hecht? blog—yes, that’s 190 blogs and one book! Below are the links to three of my favorites.

Recently, I’ve also started a new series called Everyday Leaders from Around the World, inspired by the incredible people I’ve met during my travels. If you have any burning questions or topics on leadership, let me know! I’ll weave a blog around a story that brings the lesson to life.

Finally, I’d love to know how I can support you or your clients. Feel free to reach out for a complimentary consultation—I’m here to help.

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey—your trust, support, and belief in what we do has made it all possible. Here’s to the next chapter of growth, impact, and meaningful work.

With deep gratitude,
Glenna Hecht
